A spirited run with TD Ameritrade for Hope

It was exciting to simply take part in the TD Ameritrade 5k run for charity, little did we know our team would be walking away with $2,500 to donate to Mission of Hope, Haiti!

At the end of the TD Ameritrade conference in San Diego three of our team, Deann Cross, Sarah Archer, and Chris Riboli leapt at the chance to stretch their legs in a 5k run. There were two options and opportunities to give back after two days of meetings and financial management discussions, build backyard playhouses with Habitat for Humanity or run in a 5k to support the charity of your choice.

image002Since last year we have been closely tied with the incredible Haitian charity Mission of Hope, Haiti. The work being done by Mission of Hope is changing the future of Haiti and empowering the next generation to bring Haiti’s economic climate, government, and infrastructure forward by leaps and bounds. Deann, Sarah, and Chris opted to run in the 5k, never thinking they actually had a chance at winning a prize.

TD Ameritrade green was the theme and although there were dress-ups, goodies, and costumes, not many teams seemed to get dressed in the spirit. At Integrity Financial we work hard, and we love giving our all to anything we take part in. So Deann, Sarah, and Chris picked up a big foam finger, pom pom, green mustache, bowler hat and guitar and posed for a Spirit photo with enthusiastic smiles.

Our team ran the 5k with hundreds of others, taking in the beautiful San Diego waterfront at sunset.

After a concert by Steve Miller Band the three were shocked and thrilled to hear their names announced as one of the 3 teams selected to win the Spirit Award and $2,500 to donate to the charity of their choice.

Immediately they chose Mission of Hope, Haiti and spent the rest of the night celebrating a weekend of valuable education, business vision, and a huge win for a worthy cause.
